Microneedling, sometimes now known as collagen therapy is a completely new method of stimulating the normal collagen production in our skin which declines as we get older. The results are smoother skin and the elimination of fine wrinkles. Generally, a course of six micro-needling sessions is recommended but your fully qualified practitioner will advise you on duration and frequency.
What is Microneedling used for?
Micro-needling lends itself to the treatment of a number of different conditions in addition to its cosmetic uses. It can be used to help slack skin or wrinkles on the face, upper lip lines, neck, décolleté, arms, abdomen, buttocks and legs. It can also be used to treat shallow acne scars and stretch marks.
Are there any side effects with Microneedling?
Generally there are no outward signs of the treatment other than the skin looking a little flushed. Most people are happy to return to work within a day of treatment.
